Abstract

Background. The antimicrobial prescriptions must be in accordance with RDC nº. 471/2021. The quality of the information described in the prescriptions is essential for the correct dispensing and use of medicines. objective. The objective of this work was to verify if the prescriptions of antimicrobial drugs retained in the community pharmacy in the municipality of Carmo do Cajuru were following the requirements of the current DRC and to compare the results with a study already carried out in the same place. Method. It is a cross-sectional descriptive study, using descriptive statistical analyzes with frequency distribution and measures of central tendency and subsequent comparison to the results of a study previously carried out in the same place. results. Were analyzed 473 antimicrobial prescriptions of which 93.35% were prescribed using a generic name, 16.07% were typed and none of the prescriptions analyzed presented legibility problems, values higher than those found in the previous study. The most prescribed medication was Amoxicillin. conclusion. The results demonstrate that most prescribers are attentive in fulfilling some requirements required by RDC nº 471/2021. Analyzing the two moments of the study, it is observed that the rigor in relation to the requirements required by law at the time of retaining the prescription was much greater and the prescriptions were more complete in the second moment of analysis, after the implementation of the “ Farmácia de todos” program.
