The history of the aforementioned unity was investigated, from its creation to its present moment, using documental analysis methodology and interviews with key informants, recruited through the snowball technique, which in Brazil is also known as “Snowball sampling”, or “Snowball” or as “informant chain”. The historical analysis showed relevant facts, documentary records and the interviewees’ perceptions towards the trajectory of FAESOP.
